Ella Bendrick-Chartier was first sold on joining Immersive Labs as a Senior Customer Success Manager when she was offered a platform trial. “I was amazed that I could learn so much from one platform,” she explained. Ella had experience with defensive cybersecurity concepts from previous roles and appreciated that Immersive Labs gave her the opportunity to learn offensive fundamentals, as well as furthering her defensive knowledge. Ella immediately saw the value and impact that Immersive Labs could have on preparing the world’s largest enterprises for cyber threats.Since joining Immersive Labs last August, Ella has enjoyed representing a company that helps organizations build and prove cyber capabilities throughout the workforce and at all levels, from techs to execs.“We have the privilege, and the duty, to help make the world a safer place against cybersecurity threats," she explained, “It’s exciting that every day I get to be a part of this mission.”

Ella’s role at Immersive Labs

As senior customer success manager, Ella lives and breathes all things Immersive Labs on behalf of its customers. “I help customers learn how to use the platform, onboard users, assign and recommend relevant content to upskill, and support technical exercising and crisis simulation exercises, and answer all of the platform questions that you can ever think to ask.” Ella tests and documents the platform's capabilities for her customers in addition to testing new features and content, drilling into delivering actionable outcomes for customer use cases. “Project planning – you got it! Documentation needs? You got it! Product feedback? Love it!” she said. “I’m here to be your strategic partner, deliver on your business goals, and advocate to make Immersive Labs the best possible solution for your use cases. Our product and content teams are exceptional partners, and it’s an honor to work with them on behalf of our customers.”

I want every company that I do business with to do business with Immersive Labs.”What else does Ella value about working at Immersive Labs? Her coworkers. “I really enjoy working with my colleagues across every department. I’m inspired to bring my expertise to the table, then think differently, challenge my preconceptions, and continue growing both as a cybersecurity and a customer success professional,” she explained. “It’s a gift to be around professionals who motivate you to be the best version of yourself.”

Better benefits for better work-life balance

Ella understands how important it is to prioritize her own health and wellness as well as personal priorities. No matter how busy her day is, Ella maintains her commitment to self care, making sure she doesn’t fall off that priority list, expressing her gratitude for her front line manager, who supports her.She sees Immersive Labs’ deeper understanding of how important it is to ensure employees make their quality of life a priority. “Our leadership trusts and supports you to do what you need to do to bring your best self to work, because then you can do your best work,” she explained. The company offers Immersers a variety of unique benefits to support employees’ work-life balance, including paid volunteer days, such as flexibility to work abroad for a period each year. Immersive Labs also offers annual funds you can use to invest in your physical and mental health in addition to a Learn Anything Fund that allows you to dive deeper into learning about your interests.Another benefit Ella appreciates is the generous vacation time that the company not only offers its employees, but encourages them to take. “We also have a true ‘take your vacation and we will support you when you take that vacation’ culture which I think is paramount.” Ella states how valuable it’s been to have the opportunity to step away and recharge for several weeks each year throughout her time with Immersive Labs. In that free time, Ella takes advantage of her surroundings: “Outside of work you’ll find me enjoying the arts and culture scene in Denver! I love taking my two dogs on walks and visiting local arts festivals and events. My husband and I enjoy going to our downtown museums, comedy shows, concerts, sporting events, and I’m a season ticket holder at the Colorado Ballet so we see every production! I’m also a hobbyist photographer, I enjoy reading – I sponsor our Immersive Labs Book Club – and just love to be inspired.”
