Immersive Labs will be exhibiting at the Cloud and Cyber Security Expo 2019, which takes place between 12th and 14th March at Excel, London.
In addition, Immersive Labs’ Chief Cyber Officer Max Vetter will be delivering two talks on the shape of cyber. In the first, Max will explore criminal innovation and threat intelligence, including how the latter can contribute to effective cyber training. In the second talk, he will discuss why CISOs must understand their inheritance upon starting a new role and demonstrate how they can best assess the resources at their disposal. Those in attendance will have the chance to connect with Max and share ideas following his talks.
Having recently partnered with Digital Shadows and this year announced $8m in funding from Goldman Sachs, Immersive Labs is one of the fastest growing cyber companies globally.
A cyber workforce management system, Immersive Labs provides adaptive learning for security skills, while reducing organisational cyber risk by delivering real-time and highly relevant content directly to the browser. The practical, challenge-led labs – many of which are CREST-certified – have been developed by industry experts and are derived from world-class threat intelligence.
Immersive Labs was founded in 2017 by ex-GCHQ researcher James Hadley, who, after delivering GCHQ’s Cyber Summer School, identified a better way to learn cyber skills. He realised that learning improved when students were encouraged to solve problems and think analytically, and thus set out to provide an alternative to traditional learning methods.
Former GCHQ Director Robert Hannigan, who helped oversee the formation of the NCSC, is Chair of Immersive Labs’ Advisory Board. Those using the platform include global enterprises with complex cybersecurity needs, such as BAE Systems, Sophos, Grant Thornton and Lloyds Banking Group.
James Hadley, Immersive Labs Founder and CEO, said:
“We are delighted to showcase our platform at the Cloud and Security Expo and can’t wait to introduce some of its groundbreaking new features, including our threat intelligence labs. Since starting out two years ago, our team has gone from strength to strength and the platform has continually evolved. We believe this is an important aspect of Immersive Labs – a platform that adapts to the real-life evolution of the threat landscape.
We are also looking forward to connecting with industry leaders, building new relationships and sharing ideas on the shape of cybersecurity.”
