Bristol – 15 April – Immersive Labs, the world's most advanced cyber skills development platform, has added four industry experts to its advisory board. Dr. Andy Ozment, CISO at Goldman Sachs, Mark Sutton CISO at Bain Capital, Richard Lewis, consultant and former Vice President of Secureworks, and Rob Knake, Senior Research Scientist at Northeastern University and former Director of Cyber Security at the White House, join existing board members to help drive the company’s next phase of growth. With deep expertise in cyber security, each advisor will aid Immersive Labs in its mission to provide enterprise IT and cyber security teams with the latest skills by combining threat data with gamified learning.

Dr. Andy Ozment has worked in cyber security as an operator, programmer, policymaker, and executive in both government and the private sector, including as Assistant Secretary for Cyber Security and Communications at the Department for Homeland Security and as a Senior Director for Cyber Security, National Security Council at the White House. He is currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Goldman Sachs.
Mark Sutton is a Vice President and the Chief Information Security Officer at Bain Capital, where he is responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s global cyber security program. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mark spent time with Dell SecureWorks partnering with organisations to mature all aspects of their information security programs.
Richard Lewis consults with organisations and senior leadership to maximise the potential of a business and its employees through effective management, planning and execution. Richard spent a number of years as CEO of managed service provider DNS, prior to its sale to Secureworks, where he held the role of EMEA VP until its acquisition by Dell. Richard has significant management experience and also acts as a Non-Executive Director (NED) for a number of organisations.
Rob Knake is a senior fellow for cyber policy at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He is also a senior research scientist at Northeastern University’s Global Resilience Institute. He previously served as a director for cyber security policy at the National Security Council at the White House. In this role, he was responsible for the development of presidential policy on cyber security, and built and managed federal processes for cyber incident response and vulnerability management.
The Immersive Labs platform uses real-time feeds of the latest attack techniques, hacker psychology and technological vulnerabilities to rapidly build cyber wargames for IT and security teams to learn from. The platform can upskill people within hours of a threat emerging and can also be used to identify and fix less immediate weaknesses in the talent pool. The new advisory board members join an already impressive line-up, including ex-GCHQ Director Robert Hannigan who acts as chairman of the advisory board.
